Finishing Well & Special Intervention projects

Finishing Well projects

We give thanks to God for the families who have Finished Well and pray for the ongoing success of their projects! We continue to look for ways to set each family up for success in partnership with their UK link, so they are ready for the day they graduate the Karis programme.

Muto & Mariam

Their house in Arua has been renovated, and the plan is to retire there while also renting out part of it to generate income.

Jennifer

Her shop has been restocked with general merchandise, and a deep freezer was purchased to support her drinks business. She’s optimistic that the fully stocked shop will attract more customers and increase her profits.

Noreen

We were able to complete a two-roomed house — fully roofed, with doors, windows, flooring, and plastering. The family is deeply grateful for the support and sends heartfelt thanks to their link families.

Geofrey

Two acres of land were bought for Obitta’s family in the Gulu district. Their plan is to establish a home there.

Thomas

One special project is for Thomas, ahead of his Finishing Well in a few years to come.

Special Interventions

From time to time, the Karis team steps in with extra support for families facing unexpected hardship — small interventions that make a big difference.

Lillian

After experiencing eviction and financial hardship, Lillian received start-up capital from Karis in April 2025 to establish a grocery and charcoal business. A wooden structure was built to serve as both storage and a display area.

She is deeply thankful for this opportunity and committed to working hard to sustain her family.

Annet

We’re hugely grateful to the Smith family for stepping in to support Annet. With their help, her grocery business was restocked with tomatoes and onions, while Brenda received a sewing machine and resumed her apprenticeship training.

We’re prayerfully hopeful these steps will help Annet pay off her loan and meet her family’s daily needs.
