Opening
After a word of prayer, the party opened with praise and worship.
Welcome + The Message
Host of the party, Vicar Rev. Capt. David Serunjoji (vicar of St Luke’s Ntinda), welcomed everyone and blessed the day as a celebration of God’s goodness.
Rev. Capt. Jackson Asiku (vicar of St. Paul’s Okuvu) delivered the Christmas message. He preached from Psalm 126, a psalm about restoration.

Just as ancient Israel had its challenges, the same is true for us.
But God provides grace in our present affliction and restores more than what was lost. Each one of us is a testimony of the Lord’s grace and goodness — and this is a powerful reason for us to always give thanks to God.
Rev. Jackson ended by leading the families in prayer.
Testimonies
6 Karis individuals took the opportunity to thank God and testify about his goodness in their lives:
Gilbert — for God healing his leg from a blood clot.
Jennifer — for her boys completing training and finding employment.
Suzan — for her daughter, Patience, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Management Science.
Beatrice — for God healing her from constant fainting, which meant she could sit her final Primary exams.
Harriet — for God sparing their lives after a serious fire at her property caused by a candle and for her UK link family who helped replace the bedding and upgrade her sweet banana business.
Peruth — for several of her children graduating! Her family Finished Well in December and gave thanks to the Lord and her UK link family for their faithful support over the years.

Christmas Gift
Time for the gifts! 96 families received Christmas gifts — only made possible through donations from readers of this newsletter.
Each family received a Christmas hamper with several items: sugar (1kg), soap (2 bars), tea, lotion/moisturiser, flour (1kg), fizzy drink (2L).
Final words from the Diocesan Treasurer
Many thanks to the outgoing Diocesan Treasurer, Merab Gaamuwa, for her hard work and faithfulness as the bank account signatory for many years.
Merab gave thanks to all those linked with Karis in the UK, for their continued support and generosity. She wished everyone a merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
What a special day it was celebrating the goodness of the Lord!
