Who doesn’t love a party, especially at Christmas, when there’s so much to celebrate?

On Tuesday 9 December, St Luke’s Church, Ntinda was a place of celebration. More than 450 family members and friends gathered for a vibrant, joy-filled party.

Solome put it best: the Christmas party was “wooow and wonderful!”

We praise God with grateful hearts for the One who makes all things possible and beautiful.

450 of our brightest and most colourful

The team — Ketrah, Salome, Aloysius, and the clergy and staff.

We were honoured to welcome the retired Rev. Canon Sam, former vicar of St Peter’s, Naguru, as our guest preacher. Speaking from Luke 10:30–37, he shared the parable of the Good Samaritan, challenging families to love their neighbours with compassion, just as God has shown compassion to them.

Families listening to the Christmas message

Every Karis church was represented, each bringing songs, poems, skits and performances that filled the space with colour, creativity and joy.

Leaders from across the Diocese joined the day: the Diocesan Secretary and Treasurer, along with a number of secretariat staff and the clergy from the linked churches.

The gifts were plentiful!

As always, families received baskets of goodies. But this year, thanks to the generosity of our supporters, each family also took home a special keepsake: a printed handkerchief card—a small but precious reminder of a wonderful day.

Look at the colourful baskets!

Yet the greatest gift came later.

An invitation was given for anyone who wished to place their faith in Jesus Christ…

More than 20 adults and children stepped forward.

We give thanks for every one of them and commit to praying for the journeys ahead. The Karis team will provide Bibles in each person’s preferred language and encouraged families, especially new believers, to become active in their local churches, where they can be nurtured and discipled.

To help them begin 2026, every family received a devotional book.

And what Christmas party would be complete without food and cake?

Just look at the height of that one!

A message from the Karis Team:
“Our appreciation goes out to all our UK friends who made this day a success. All the blessings.”

Our heartfelt thanks also go to the Karis team in Kampala for their hard work behind the scenes and to everyone who gave and prayed. God bless you.
